Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains what personal information Youngwoo Kim ("OneSource", "we", "us") collects when you use our website and service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our Terms of Service also apply.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details. Your name, email address and password. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored in scrambled (hashed) form; we never see or store it in plain text.
  • What you ask and attach. The questions you type and the files you attach. Files are read to answer your search and are not kept on our servers. We save only their names, together with your question and the results we showed you, as your chat history.
  • Chats and folders. The chats you create, their names, the folders you make and which chats are in them.
  • Plan and usage. Your plan, your credit balance, how many files you have attached today, and the identifiers that link your account to your subscription.
  • Payment information. Payments are taken by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive things like the plan you bought, the status of your subscription and payment confirmations.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider and servers record your IP address, browser and device type and the pages and requests you make, for security, reliability and fixing problems.
  • Messages to us. Anything you send us when you contact us.

3. How we use it

  • to run OneSource: understand your question, find and show you a video or page, and keep your chat history;
  • to create and secure your account, and send the emails it needs (confirming your email, resetting your password, and notices when your email or password changes);
  • to take payments, manage your subscription and credits, and keep records we are required to keep;
  • to prevent abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms and keep the Service safe and working;
  • to answer you when you contact us, and to meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use your questions or files to build advertising profiles. We don't send marketing emails.

4. How your question and files are handled by AI and search providers

  • Google Gemini. Your question and any files you attach are sent to Google's Gemini API so that artificial intelligence can work out what you need and pick the best result. We use Gemini under Google's paid terms, under which Google states that it does not use prompts or responses to improve its products, and keeps logs for a limited time only to detect and prevent abuse. See the Gemini API Additional Terms.
  • Video search. To find videos we send a short search phrase written from your question (not your files) to the YouTube Data API.

Please don't include sensitive personal information about yourself or others in your questions or files.

5. YouTube API Services

OneSource uses YouTube API Services. By using OneSource you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We don't access your YouTube or Google account. When you open a video it plays on YouTube, which has its own privacy practices.

6. Who else receives your information

We use these service providers to run OneSource, and they process information on our behalf:

  • Supabase: our database and sign-in (accounts, chat history, credits).
  • Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
  • Google: Gemini AI and YouTube API Services.
  • Stripe: payments. For many purchases Stripe acts as the seller of record and has its own privacy policy.
  • Our email provider: delivers account emails such as confirmations and password resets.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or with a buyer if the business is sold. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.

7. Cookies and similar storage

We use your browser's storage only to do what you ask: keep you signed in, and remember a question you typed on our home page until you have finished signing up. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask first where the law requires.

8. How long we keep it

  • Account and chat history: until you delete the chat or your account.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your profile, chats, folders and credits. Backups may hold copies for a limited time before they are overwritten.
  • Payment and tax records: kept by us and Stripe for as long as the law requires.
  • Server logs: kept by our providers for a limited time.

9. Your rights and choices

You can change your name, email and password and delete chats in the app, and you can delete your whole account in Settings. Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK and California) you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights. To use any of them, email itsywk6@gmail.com. We may need to confirm it is you first.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running your account and the Service), our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse and improving reliability), legal obligations (tax and accounting), and consent where we ask for it.

10. Children

OneSource is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you are 13 to 17, please use the Service with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

12. International transfers

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on approved safeguards for those transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For important changes we will tell you by email or in the Service before they apply. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
